New Maps and UI Systems

Hey fellow chefs, we hope you are having a great week! We are back with some new updates for Chef RPG we would love to share with you. First, here’s sneak peaks of some new maps:
Hotel Rose – A luxury hotel with a long history. Tourists coming to White Ash Harbor typically stay here.
Bowie’s House – A secluded home at the very edge of White Ash Harbor. Bowie built the house here as it was a perfect spot to gaze out towards the sea.
New User Interfaces
We are continuously developing Chef RPG’s game systems and have added some new UIs to adjust restaurant operation modes, restaurant open times, and menu to hire new waiters and chefs. Everything is a work in progress and may change throughout development.
Change your restaurant operation mode. Each operation mode has unique gameplay bonuses and recipe options.
Set your open & close times.
Hire staff to help out at your restaurant.

Finally, if you backed at a pledge level containing custom character statues, custom portraits, or a building dedication, we will contact you via email this week to begin working with you to create your custom designs! Happy new year!
Our team had a good rest over the past weeks and are ready to jump back into work on Chef RPG. We are writing to let you know that the BackerKit surveys have just been sent and should arrive in your email inbox today. If you cannot find the email (even after checking the spam folder) please let us know and we will try to solve it ASAP. The surveys will allow you to select the platform (Steam or Nintendo) you wish to receive your copy of the game, your shipping address if you ordered the physical books, as well as purchase additional add-ons.
If you “over pledged” to order the physical books
If you ordered a digital-tier reward and over-pledged to order the physical books, you will receive additional credit in the add-ons page of the survey. Please select the add-on you ordered before finishing the survey.
If you ordered custom rewards
If you backed at a pledge level containing custom character statues, custom portraits, or a building dedication, we will contact you shortly via email and work together with you to create a design to your liking.
Modifying your survey answers
You can come back and modify your survey answers up until close to the delivery date (September 2023). If you changed addresses or want to change an option in your order, you will have plenty of time to do so!

It has been a crazy and incredible month and we truly thank you for backing us and lending us your support. Chef RPG is fully funded, and all stretch goals have been unlocked to make the game bigger and better!
We are incredibly grateful to develop the game alongside such an active and engaging community. The feedback we’ve received over the past few months has shaped the game to what it is today, and we hope your encouragement and feedback will continue to shape the game throughout the rest of development.
We will be taking a brief (much needed) break over the holidays, and we are excited to jump back into development as soon as possible!
Backer Surveys Coming Soon!
We will be sending out backer surveys in about 3 weeks time to collect your order details and addresses. In the past, backers tend to lose track of emails over the span of a project, so we will send out a second survey when the rewards are ready to confirm your order and confirm your address if you have moved.
We are also partnering with BackerKit to set up a pre-order page in case anyone missed the Kickstarter or want to order additional rewards. A link to our BackerKit page will be posted on our main Kickstarter page soon!
How to Follow Development and Give Feedback
Currently, the best place to follow Chef RPG’s development is on Pixel Architect’s YouTube Channel, where he produces game development videos, design tutorials, and pixel art timelapses related to Chef RPG. You can also follow Pixel Architect on Twitter for frequent updates about the game. The feedback we’ve gotten on YouTube has been tremendously helpful throughout the development process, and the game has improved a lot based on viewer suggestions. We welcome all feedback and ideas you have for the game!

Hey Chefs! We have just under 2 days left in our campaign and have unlocked our final stretch goal – Fishing Platform – which is a man-made structure located in the middle of the sea, offering fantastic fishing spots and special equipment to catch large amounts of fish and crustaceans!
Here is our third character showcase of the fascinating NPCs you will meet throughout your journey!
Once a reality show contestant in her youth, Nabiha experienced a lavish lifestyle full of parties, luxury cars, and designer clothes. Eventually, she decided to make a lifestyle change and moved to White Ash Harbor to become closer with nature. Even though she had a lot of fun in her youth, she is happier than ever living a simple life as a vegan and running her own fruit stand. In her spare time, Nabiha loves creating sculptures using items found in nature.
A fiery girl with a kind heart, Prisca once worked as a firefighter but was fired when she hit a lackluster colleague during a heated argument. Prisca now plays an active role in helping the community of White Ash Harbor through organizing the town’s seasonal events, cleaning the beach, and helping the local merchants deal with rowdy tourists.
A young fisherman who wants to become the captain of his own boat one day. For now, he works as a shrimping boat deckhand, saving up towards his own vessel. When not cruising the open seas or hanging out at the docks, Aloys likes to tinker with robots, and scouring the land to collect vintage items.
A widower and a father of two girls, Nacim dedicates his time to creating crafts and exploring the beautiful outdoors with his kids. Nacim is also an avid gamer, spending as much of the little time he has remaining consuming the latest video games, often playing late into the night after putting the kids to sleep.
Swordcery is an action-packed, sword swingin' roguelike made by 2 former God of War animators. It's inspired by Enter the Gungeon, Hades, and Dark Souls. You'll wield 100s of magical swords with vastly different powers on your quest to defeat an otherworldly evil that has descended upon the world!

Hey Chefs! Hope you had a great weekend. We have just hit our latest stretch goal: Designer Expansion! The next and final stretch goal will be the fishing platform. Crypto/NFT Scams
Last week, we were notified of a group impersonating our team to run a Cryptocurrency/NFT scam. The situation has since been dealt with, and their website and social media pages have since been taken down. We learned that scams like this are common in the pixel art space and wanted to give a heads up to avoid this if you ever see something like that in the future. Our group will not be openly selling NFTs or cryptocurrencies.
Art book Sneak Peak
By popular request, we created some sample pages for our World Atlas & Culinary Guide art books. The World Atlas features a description and lore of all the places in the game, as well as the characters that inhabit them. The Culinary guide will provide a detailed breakdown of all available recipes in the game, all the ingredients and where to find them, as well as a breakdown of the clientele surrounding the unlockable restaurants in the game. We are always happy to take ideas for more content to include in these books!
